Wood inserts are basically a wood-burning wood stove without legs. It has a firebox that can slide into your existing masonry or if you have a metal fireplace. These inserts burn real wood logs. Most inserts are energy savings options making a super-efficient heater. Some inserts can save a homeowner as much as 35% on their energy bill. But, note that savings will depend on the insert’s efficiency, the homes layout, the climate you live in, and the homes insulation as well as the height of the homes ceiling.

If you choose a Wood Insert for your hearth, our installers will fit a stainless steel lining down your chimney. A decorative flange made of steel, porcelain or cast iron will surround the insert hiding the steel sides and filling the gap created between the hearth and box. There are doors with ceramic glass that help radiate heat into the room. Most inserts also creat convection heat and have a fan that is usually located under the firebox.

Wood inserts heat upwards anywhere from 1,000 to 3,000 square feet depending on the size itself.
